Graphic Design is another one of Mike's natural gifts... it all began in 7th grade study hall. Mike discovered a book about old English blackletter techniques. Soon, ink pen in hand, he became the official church calligrapher and sign maker for friends, family... even his Army drill sergeant!

This foundation in typography became useful during Mike's adventures in video production. Text is an integral part of most advertising and media production. His early background in letter forms and how they impact an audience has been an important piece of Mike's creative offerings.

This background really came together as new digital tools became available throughout the past 30 years. Working together with graphic designers on multi-media ad campaigns at ad agencies raised the bar several notches and Mike continues to learn and use today's modern graphics tools in expert ways: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects.
